Medusa was appointed principle stone contractors in October 2007. The project will use over 12,000 square metres of internal and external flooring at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. The flooring comprises heavily patterned areas in traditional Islamic style, using a variety of finishes in marble, granite and limestone. The chosen stones are from the Republic of Yemen and Medusa's role includes Consultancy, Design, Supply and Installation, including the manufacturing of finished stone in Yemen.
Work on this project is likely to start in April 2008 and will be ongoing for the next two years.
