Highclere Castle

Highclere Castle stands amid beautiful parkland in the Royal County of Berkshire. Medusa was commissioned to carry out conservation work to the stucco columns and walls to the main saloon of the castle. This involved sensitive cleaning and repairs to match the patina of the overall finish of the saloon and was carried out over a five week period, whilst the saloon was still in use.

Medusa co-operated with a national television company, who at the time were compiling a documentary relating to the activities on the estate. This culminated in the conservation works being included within the documentary which was later to be broadcast on our television screens.

Hardman Square Water Features

This challenging set of water features were commissioned by Allied London Properties as a centrepiece for their Spinning Fields development in Manchester. The features are located in the main Hardman Square, designed by Fosters and Partners and Hyland Edgar Driver. The 140 tons of Chinese Granite used in the installation of these water features were imported and manufactured by Medusa. The tolerances involved to make the features work meant only 1mm over 27 metres could be allowed in the levels to achieve the architects overall water effect.
